Rocky shores exploration
Let’s explore the structure of a rocky shore community and its flora and fauna. We’ll familiarize ourselves with some common ecological sampling techniques while exploring and studying rocky shore habitats. We’ll compare and look at the contrast of the ecology of different rocky shore habitats, depending on their degrees of exposure.

Available to: Year 1 to 13 students
Duration: Half-day / full day
Delivery: This subject can be taught by itself or as part of a multi-day programme. A full day will allow for more depth.
Location: Aotearoa is lucky to be surrounded by coastlines, many of which are rocky shore habitats teaming with life.
