Freshwater stream exploration

We’ll dive (figuratively speaking) into the wonderful and complex freshwater stream environment. We will be looking into the different types of habitats found in streams. We will identify how streams can be impacted by their surroundings, for example, the impact of agriculture.

Programme overview

  • Identify what is needed to keep a stream clean 

  • Recognise the  importance of clean streams

  • Use basic freshwater surveying and monitoring methods

  • Learn about freshwater animals and their habitats

Duration: Half-day / full day

Delivery: As a half-day or full-day workshop or as part of a multi-day programme, linking well with Freshwater Invertebrates

Location: Delivery of this programme can take place in many of our beautiful natural settings
